Proceeds from the Bresnan Bike Tour benefit the vital programs
and services provided by Westchester Arc and Special Olympics New
York – Hudson Valley Region.
Special Olympics New York – Hudson Valley Region:
Created in 1972, Special Olympics New York – Hudson Valley Region,
provides year-round sports training and athletic competition to
children and adults with intellectual disabilities residing in our
local communities. Each year, the Hudson Valley Region supervises
over 60 sports training programs while offering 30 athletic competitions
and games for over 3,500 athletes of all ages and abilities. Athletes
competing in Special Olympics are given the opportunity to become
more competitive and empowered on an equal basis. Athletes learn
to embrace challenges not only in sports, but also in school, the
workplace and community life as well.

Westchester Arc Foundation: The sole mission of
the Westchester Arc Foundation is to help every child and adult
in Westchester County with mental retardation or other developmental
disabilities to live as independently and productively as possible.
Founded 50 years ago by parents as a support group, Westchester
Arc now offers a broad range of innovative and effective services,
which helps 1,600 children, adults and their families on a daily
basis.
