The Bresnan Bike Tour
The CycleAbility Challenge Bike Tour (formerly The Bresnan Bike
Tour) is an ambitious two-day, 200-mile bicycle tour from Patterson,
New York to Kingston, NY. The ride is approximately 100 miles on
both Saturday and Sunday (totaling 200 miles), The Tour is comparatively
small in scope and participation ( averaging 75 - 100 riders), but
stellar in its stature and impact. The route is picturesque and
demanding. The accommodations and support are first-class. And those
who participate are an electric group who share a common desire
to benefit others.
Each rider is obligated to raise a minimum of $1,000 in
pledges. All riders must post a $400 donation commitment fee to
hold their place in the ride. We prefer to hold a credit card number
and will be taking that information at the Pedal-Off reception,
2010 Date TBD, (Snow date is the day after). If a rider has to cancel
their participation in the ride after the March 15th commitment
date, they will forfeit the $400. If the rider participates
in the event and fails to raise the minimum $1,000 required, the
remainder owed will be charged to their credit card (unless other
arrangements have been made). If you participate in the ride and
raise the $1,000 nothing will be charged to your credit card. We
also expect riders to make an effort to have their funds raised
by the date of the first start date.
The tax-deductible pledges support Special Olympics New
York-Hudson Valley Region.
